TESDA RO2 Implements Pangulong Gloria Scholarship (PGS)
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) RO2 received 10,511 slots of the Pangulong Gloria Scholarship for implementation in Region 02 Calendar Year 2009. Out of the said slots, TESDA Provincial Offices got a share of 6,655 slots broken down as follows: Batanes - 119, Cagayan - 3,200, Isabela - 1,977, Nueva Vizcaya - 960 and Quirino - 379. These were distributed to all private and public training institutions with TVET registered programs.
ADB Susan Kerr Visits Region 02
Ms. Susan Kerr, Principal Human Resource Specialist of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) together with Dr. Magdalena P. Butad, Project Coordinator of the Technical Education and Skills Development Project, Engr. Joy P. Agustin, Project Development Officer IV of the Civil Works Division and Mr. Riyenzi G. Delos Santos, Project Development Officer IV a=of the Monitoring Divisions visited Region 02 last March 9 & 10 2009.
ISU System Implements Pangulong Gloria Scholarship Program
The Isabela State University in Echague, Isabela was provided a scholarship grant worth P1,980,400.00 from the Pangulong Gloria Scholarship (PGS) in support to its technical and vocational programs.
Dr. Romeo O. Quilang, the ISU President expressed his readiness to join hands with TESDA to implement the PGS programs by signing the Affidavit of Undertaking (AOU) during the PGS Conference held at ISU Echague Campus last February 4, 2009.
Five TESDA RO2 Employees Promoted
In line with the filling up of the vacant technical positions which were processed in the TESDA Central Office, a total of five (5) employees were promoted effective March 16, 2009 as follows: Zenaida Tuliao as Supervising TESD Specialist of TESDA Quirino Provincial Office and Evelyn P. Caday, Rogelio C. Rambuyan and Joel Dominador C. Canapi as Senior TESD Specialists.

TESDA RO2 Conducts Workshop on OPES
A briefing and Workshop on TESDA OPES was held in the morning of December 22, 2008 to thresh out problems encountered in the preparation of the new OPES. This was attended by all TESDA regional and provincial personnel, school administrators, administrative officers, accountants and instruction supervisors among others.

Korean Language Training Launched at RTC 02
Philippine-Korean government enters into Memorandum of Agreement with commitment to train prospective workers for Korea. Korean Language training is given to participants for free... The training started last August 4, 2008 and expected to be finished on September 5, 2008. This training is being subsidized by PGMA-TESP and conducted directly by Korean volunteer Sang-A Kim. Series of programs will be conducted within a period of two years.
